Abstract
We examined 80 children aged 7 -15 with the single teeth malformations. Using the OPT pictures we investigated the status of maxillary sinuses, alveolar bone tissues of upper and lower jaws, body of maxilla, ramus of mandible, and facial structures symmetry. We determined the correspondence between child’s dentition and his age, the degree of hard tissue mineralization, features of teeth development, periodontal development in accordance with the recommendations of T.E. Vinogradova (1968), F.Ya. Khoroshilkina, and T.A. Tochilina (1982). We determined teeth positions and their relationship with the neighbor teeth, compared the sizes of alveolar bone and crown mesio-distal width of unerupted teeth for predicting their eruption. Supernumerary teeth were revealed in 25 children (31.3%) with the single teeth malformations. 30 children of 80 had primary adentia (37.5 %). 23 children had teeth retention (28.8%). The possible combination of teeth malformations (2.4%) was revealed while investigating the incidence and structure of the malformations.

Abstract
When examining 67 patients with chronic granulomatous periodontitis in the acute stage the plasma showed the increase in proinflammatory cytokines (TNF, IL-1β, IL-8) and IL-2, as well as all the tested indices of the complement system and its regulators, the reduction in the content of anti-inflammatory cytokines IL-4 and IL-10 with normal concentration of IL-1 Ra, and the activation of lipid peroxidation. Unlike the system level the examination of saliva at the local level revealed the increased IL-1 Ra and proper level of IL-4 and IL-10, and the decreased SOD activity. In order to strengthen the effectiveness of the investigated pharmacotherapeutic schemes for chronic granulating periodontitis in the acute stage, the schemes must be administered as follows: standard treatment → standard treatment + Hepon → standard treatment + Hepon + Essentiale forte N + Caskatol.

Abstract
One hundred and fifty cases of acute bronchitis treated in an outpatient clinic have been analyzed. It has been determined that in the majority of cases the ambulatory medical care of acute bronchitis in adults supposes that broad-spectrum antibacterial preparations should be used. Interferon administration for acute bronchitis treatment is accompanied with shorter periods of relieving all the symptoms, reduction of patients’ temporary invalidity, and better therapeutic tolerance. All these reduce the need for additional antibacterial preparations. It is appropriate to use medicinal plants mixture afterwards as rehabilitation therapy.

Abstract
The clinical and radiological dental examination of 2237 people (988 (44.17%) males and 1.249 (65.83% females) aged 21 to 82 for the purpose of detecting chronic periapical foci of odontogenic infection (СPFOI) was conducted. The age-related and sex characteristics of СPFOI incidence of different clinical forms were established. In all age groups СPFOI was more often detected in men due to faults in individual oral hygiene, and their seldom appeal for dental care. It was shown that population aging, regardless of sex, increases the occurrence of СPFOI. It was noted that aging along with an increase in incidence of different forms of chronic periodontitis, cystogranulomas and periradicular cysts of jaws decreases the incidence of chronic granulomatous periodontitis. The data on actual problems concerning proper root canal filling in endodontic treatment of complicated caries in practictical dentistry are presentedin the article.

Abstract
A comparative analysis of the diagnostic capabilities of single-photon emission computed tomography - computed tomography (SPECT-CT) with 99mTc-tehnetril and X-ray computed tomography (CT) was performed in 31 patients with the primary diagnosis of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The results of SPECT-CT and CT were compared with the results of histological examination of the postoperative materials. According to the findings of pathologists in 31 patients (100%) NSCLC was verified. Specificity, sensitivity and accuracy of the data evaluation method with SPECT-CT with IV degree of accumulation of radiotracer as a criterion for metastatic lymph nodes amounted 73%, 100% and 82%, respectively. In cases where the presence of hyper fixation of radiotracer in lymph nodes of III and IV degrees was considered a sign of lesion, the sensitivity was 77%, specificity - 84%, and overall accuracy - 79% . When analyzing the CT data in the degree of identifying metastatic lesions of lymph nodes the specificity, sensitivity, and accuracy was 72%, 62% and 66% respectively.

Abstract
One of the most severe postoperative complications in patients with postoperative ventral hernias is the increase in intra-abdominal pressure after repairment of hernial defect. Joining aponeurosis with synthetic materials does not always help to cope with this problem, due to the non-compliance of the fabric materials tension. So determining the size of the prosthetic mesh is challenging since it is required to avoid the development of abdominal compartment syndrome. We have studied the treatment results of 28 patients with postoperative ventral hernias, in whom in the preoperative period the size of the prosthetic mesh was calculated according to our method to avoid the development of compartment syndrome in the postoperative period. During the postoperative period in all the patients studied the increase in intra-abdominal pressure was not observed and accordingly, compartment syndrome did not develop. The suggested method for the prevention of compartment syndrome allows preoperatively to determine the optimal size of an endoprosthesis for repairing ventral hernias and to avoid postoperative compartment syndrome and possible hernia recurrence.

Abstract
The main mediators of endothelial dysfunction (nitrogen oxide and endothelin-1) in premature newborns with respiratory disorders were researched: I group - 90 infants with congenital pneumonia, II group - 90 infants with respiratory distress syndrome, III group - 90 patients with congenital pneumonia and respiratory distress syndrome. The control group involved 30 ‘conditionally’ healthy premature infants. The lowest level of nitrogen oxide in cord blood was in the group of examined prematures with congenital pneumonia and respiratory distress syndrome (24.0±2.9 microM/l) and respiratory distress syndrome (25.7±5.8microM/l), (р < 0.05). The highest content of endothelin-1 in cord blood was in prematures with congenital pneumonia and respiratory distress syndrome: 4.13±0.69 f Mole/mL and 3.02±0.28 fMole/mL respectively (р < 0.05). On the 7th day of life the level of nitrogen oxide in venous blood increased twice in comparison with that in the cord blood. The level of endothelin-1 in venous blood became less as opposed to cord blood. These findings confirm the presence of long-lasting pulmonary hypertension in premature newborns with pulmonary disease.

Abstract
The results of treatment of 245 patients with pancreatic pseudocysts were analyzed. The integrated approach including drug treatment, differentiated range of surgical volume and method, intensive care, prevention of surgical complications and follow-up care with physiotherapy was exercised. A considerable attention was paid to the surgical methods. 193 patients were operated on. The external drainage of cysts was carried out in 58 patients, internal drainage - in 83, curative surgery - in 40 patients. 12 patients underwent minimally invasive methods of drainage under ultrasound control. Based on literature data and firsthand experience the indications for surgical treatment were formulated. After the integrated approach the frequency of postoperative complications and mortality came down.

Abstract
The article analyses the phagocytic activity and priming effect in polymorphonuclear leukocytes of blood influenced by the complex antigen Staphylococcus aureus in patients with acute pyoinflammatory skin and soft tissues disorders with or without type 2diabetes (with diabetic foot syndrome). The examination of patients’ blood was performed by the method of barium sulfate stimulated luminol-dependent chemiluminescence. On the basic of the obtained results it has been found out that in diabetic foot syndrome the lowering of phagocytic activity and priming effect of polymorphonuclear leukocytes are observed as compared to patients without carbohydrate metabolism disorder.

Abstract
We have investigated the influence of N-nitro-L - arginine (LNNA) blocker of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) in the admixture with non -steroid anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) on barium sulphate stimulated luminol-depended chemiluminescence (SLCL) in blood of patients with asthmatic triad (AT). It was established that LNNA noticeably remove NSAIDs -induced inhibition of SLCL in blood of patients with AT (high concentrations of LNNA yielded the best effects). iNOS activity of blood phagocytes was detected by registration of synthesized nitric levels. All the patients with AT had high nitric level compared to healthy donors. We have detected the dependence between SLCL levels and iNOS activity levels of blood phagocytes among patients with AT. Among patients with intolerance to NSAIDs, we detected no dependence between inhibition of SLCL by NSAIDs and iNOS activity levels of blood phagocytes.

Abstract
To reveal the anatomical reasons for the retention of third molars the complex morphometrical research of mandible and facial skull was conducted with 250 human skulls. All the examined skulls were classified into two series: I - series with intact bite; II - series with impacted third molars. In these series we studied the main morphometrical characteristics of mandible and their correlation with main morphometrical characteristics of facial skull. It was established that the main anatomical preconditions for the complicated teething of third molars are the disproportion between the essential size of its crown and the mandibular size for its appropriate positioning. The complicated teething of third molars can be found more often in leptoprosopes than in meso- and euryprosopes that is caused by smaller sizes of retromolar space in leptoprosopes.

Abstract
The individual peculiarities of the spleen ligaments, their morphometric characteristics, and the architectonic of the splenic artery and its branches were studied with 15 nonembalmed corpses and 32 abdominal complexes of adults using the traditional anatomical research methods. It was noted that the width and length of the gastrosplenic and phrenicosplenic ligaments correlate in direct proportion to the corresponding dimensions of spleen. It was established that the topography of the splenic artery and its main branches, as well as the tail of pancreas and splenic extraperitoneal area is rather variable. In most cases, the splenic artery and its branches are located in fatty tissue between the anterior leaf of the gastrosplenic ligament and posterior leaf of the phrenicosplenic ligament. We determined three types of division of splenic artery terminal branches within splenic hiluses. It was found that the form and sizes of the extraperitoneal area are distinguished by the attachment lines of posterior leaf of phrenicosplenic and colonosplenic ligaments to the visceral surface of spleen.

Abstract
The effect of pharmacological preconditioning with recombinant erythropoietin in sub-erythrostimulating dose on the state of the resected liver in white Wistar rats is studied. 70% liver resection was performed on the second day of the experiment. Recombinant erythropoietin was administered intraperitoneally at a daily dose of 2.5 IU/kg during the first 7 days of the experiment, every 48 hours. We found that pharmacological preconditioning with recombinant erythropoietin has a pronounced stimulating effect on the regeneration of the resected liver, as evidenced by reducing the mortality of post-resection liver failure, a significant reduction in the severity of symptoms of post-resection liver failure compared with the control group; recovery of volume, structure and functions of the resected organ until 28 days after resection, which was not observed in the control group.

Abstract
The experiments on rats studied the electrical activity (EA) of various parts of stomach and duodenum under simulation of intra-abdominal hypertension (IAH). 24 hours after modeling IAH it was found that the average values of the EA amplitude in the pyloric part of stomach decreased by 27% (p <0.05) and the frequency of EA increased by 124.9% (р<0.01) in stomach, and by 63.2 % (р<0.01) in the initial part of duodenum. The correlation of EA between all the departments of gastroduodenal complex increased. It was found that the introduction of serotonin adipate eliminates the disturbances of EA in the pyloroduodenal area and prevents the development of systemic gastroduodenal disorders.

Abstract
Analyzed the effectiveness of the use of intramuscular administration of the histohrom on the state of phagocytes link innate immunity and enzyme systems in guinea pigs with experimental staphylococcal conjunctivitis in terms of exposure to magnetic fields of anomalous characteristics. It is shown that the development of experimental bacterial conjunctivitis in such conditions is characterized by an increased activation of the phagocytic process and reduced activity of its oxygen-dependent bactericidal system. Use for therapeutic purposes intramuscular injections of histohrom since the formation of experimental infection led to the end of the experiment to increase not only the degree of activation of intracellular antimicrobial systems of phagocytes, but also lactoferrin and ceruloplasmin. Against this background, the levels of catalase, superoxide dismutase and lactate decreased. The data indicate a favorable effect of the histohrom on immuno-laboratory parameters of guinea pigs in the treatment of experimental conjunctivitis in laboratory animals in conditions of abnormal magnetic field.

Abstract
Active surgical tactics (necrectomy) with the combination of serotonin adipate 4.5 mg/kg and DSLET 10 mсg/kg reduces the severity and extent of alterations; contributes to faster formation of granulation bank, and more intensive reparative processes in simulating cold injury. The most effective correction of contact frostbite was detected in conjunction of necrectomy and combinations of serotonin adipate and DSLET, as evidenced by the correction of such indicators as malondialdehyde, superoxide dismutase, the final stable nitric oxide metabolites, total antioxidant activity and catalase up to the values of intact animals on the 14th day of the experiment and halved levels of proinflammatory cytokines (IL-6, TNF-α) (p < 0.05) compared with the control group.

Abstract
The possibility of poisoning with tropicamide after its oral introduction to warm-blooded animals has been studied in terms of the detection of the toxic agent and compounds with the similar structure (products of transformation) in poisoned organisms. After introducing LD50 of tropicamide intragastrically to warm-blooded animals (rats) in various intervals we were searching for the toxic agent and possible products of its transformation in various organs and blood of poisoned animals. The presence of tropicamide in all the examined organs and blood of poisoned animals was established. There we determined and identified compounds with the similar structure, such as N-ethyl-N-(pyridin-4-yl-methyl)-phenilacetamide, N-ethyl-2-phenyl-N-(pyridin-4-yl-methyl)-propenamid and N-ethyl-3-acetoxy-2-phenyl-N- (pyridin-4-yl-methyl)-propanamide in liver, stomach tissue and its contents, and in small intestine tissue. The possibility of poisoning by tropicamide as evidenced by detection in poisoned organisms of the toxic agent and three products of transformation with the similar structures was grounded.

Abstract
Erasistratus was one of the leading physicians of Alexandrian medical school in III century ВС. The aim of the research was to analyze Erasistratus’s view on the blood circulation function in vital activity and in pathogenesis of various diseases (based on atomism). The results indicate that Erasistratus made the biggest contribution to the intra- and exocardiac hemodynamics research. Erasistratus accepted the status of pneuma and stood for the total consumption and use of blood by tissues. Despite the enormous contribution made by Erasistratus to the knowledge of heart, blood vessels, blood structure and functions, as well as different disorders, Erasistratus did not identify the grounded principles of therapy for patients with various diseases.

Abstract
The component Р100 of human VEP was investigated. The original method of the event-related element recollection was used. This method was based on wavelet-transformation. The method uses energy distribution which is specific for each signal at different frequencies at every instant. From 3 to 7 frequency elements of VEP were detected over the range 10.75 - 100 Hz. So, 3 and more elements forming Р100 component have peak positive amplitude with latent time near 100 ms. Low-frequency elements, notwithstanding the latent time of peak amplitude over 100ms take part in forming later components. Peak amplitude of negative deflection of the elements has demonstrated the other dynamics: low-frequency elements have latent time equal or below 100 ms. The effect obtained allows to estimate the studied component as a trace one with respect to the present elements. The negative components, unlike positive, with latency more than 100ms do not take part in forming component Р100.

Abstract
The article analyzes the structural features of the individual event spaces in cancer patients. Person’s event space includes the main events in individual’s life and individual experience of the cause and effect relations between major events of the past, present and future. Cancer disease changes the event space of a person that has predictively significant impact on the general attitude toward the disease, thereby activating the productive mechanisms of overcoming the disease. Event space of a personality in the situation of cancer is characterized by disintegration and narrowing of past, present, and future sizes; predominance of negative emotional evaluation of future events. The techniques of event-driven reconstruction of person’s time perspective in cancer patients are used as psychotherapeutic resource to extend the scope of future event space, as well as to transform semantic values of event space of person’s time perspective.

Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of social identity disorders in patients with colorectal cancer (colostomy). Social identity, regarded as a systemic integrative phenomenon which is realized on the structural-phenomenological level, gets broken in case of cancer. Social identity in patients both with colorectal cancer and with blood cancer is characterized by diffuse-status structure with high mismatch at the level of structural organization of simple undifferentiated cognitive constructs, mismatch of value orientations while reducing the overall motivational activity (reducing the differentiated motives in patients with hematological cancer and motivation aimed at maintaining life support in patients with colorectal cancer).
