Department of Internal Diseases N 2 of the Kursk State Medical University, Kursk; Medical Unit of the Department of the Interior of Kursk Region The study investigated the effects of cardiac cytoprotectors Mexicor and Trimetazidine, combined with ACE therapy, on lipid peroxidation product levels, endothelial function, circadian blood pressure profile, left ventricular morphology and function in patients with arterial hypertension. It was demonstrated that in arterial hypertension patients, the combination of Mexicor and Enalapril raised Enalapril hypotensive efficiency, facilitated lipid peroxidation reduction, endothelial function, as well as improvement of left ventricular systolic and diastolic myocardial function and processes of deremodeling left ventricular myocardium. Similar effects were not marked in the combination of Trimetazidine and Enalapril.
