Patients study group (11 people), in addition to basic therapy received Simvastatin in a dose of 20 mg/day for a month. Laboratory methods included the definition of lipid spectrum, endothelium-dependent vasodilation, venous circulating endothelial cells (CECs) counts. The study showed that patients have a signs of impaired of lipid metabolism and signs of endothelial dysfunction, manifested in declining endothelium-dependent vasodilation and an increase of CECs counts. The study showed that use of the Simvastatin led to the normalization levels of cholesterol, also low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and improve endothelial dysfunction.
